 Barbells, barbell sets, and barbell weights, consist of a steel bar with barbell weights, or Olympic plates, at the ends. The bar is usually about five to seven feet long and the barbell weights come in a variety of different sizes and materials.
There are two different types of barbell sets: fixed weight and adjustable. Fixed sets are great for gyms and clubs because they cannot be adjusted, so a fitness center might stock up on all the different varieties to avoid having to mess with barbell weights being removed and transferred around the gym among customers. Adjustable barbell sets require you to purchase a bar and the weights separately. We have both types of barbell sets here for your convenience.
The barbell curl exercise
To perform a barbell curl, you simply need to grasp the bar with your hand, keeping your elbows against your body. Raise your forearms perpendicular to the floor. Then, slowly bring them up to your chest and then down to full extension. The barbell curl is a simple workout routine, but one thing you must be very careful about is choosing the right weight. You do not want to overdo it.
