Olympic Bars: All bars are heat-treated, turned, ground and polished chrome-moly alloy steel. Bars are quenched and tempered for good mechanical properties, with fatigue properties superior to carbon steel. The 7' bar has superior returnability. All bars have extremely durable and exceptionally slick, product specific Nylotron bushings. Collar is welded, not press fit, to sleeve. All bars have comfortable, medium diamond knurl. The 7' bar features an additional center knurling panel for added safety. All bars feature our patented 6-sided collar.

Chroming: All Olympic bars feature Iron Grip's aircraft-quality, hard chrome plating. Our industrial hard chrome is manufactured to military specifications, is chip-proof, and features a matte satin finish. Due to its superior durability and adherence to the steel, this finish is extremely durable and wear-resistant.

Sleeve/Collar: Collar is welded, not press fit to the sleeve, resulting in superior strength. Sleeve/collar assembly is secured with shoulder bolts featuring nylon-impregnated threads and a proprietary locking compound. A snap ring fitted into an internal groove at the end adds extra security and durability.

    Tolerances: Quick Collars are 2” diameter, high-impact, machined steel collars, featuring a heavy-duty brushed (satin) chrome finish and the patented Quicklee™ quick release technology. Muscle Clamp™ collars are heavy-duty, glass-filled nylon collars, with the patented quick release Muscle Clamp™ technology. Muscle Clamp™ collars are lightweight, and have wear guards on the inside to minimize scratching of the Olympic bar. Both collars are designed to be operated with one hand.
