The cast iron heads are adjoined to each solid steel hard chrome plated handle using a heavy-duty bolt with steel inserts. This bolt and steel insert assembly is then fully welded together giving it a commercial grade strength rating as well as insuring they remain maintenance free and will never loosen. The one-piece cast iron heads are fully encased in impact and abrasion resistant polyurethane. This helps prolong the aesthetics of your dumbbell set while also protecting floors and the finish of your strength equipment.
