Ultimate RB Rubber Mega-Lock and Fleck-Lock Interlocking Rubber Flooring Tiles

Interlocking Rubber Gym Flooring Review

In need of interlocking rubber gym flooring that is easy to install and proven to perform in the most demanding applications? Mega-Lock Interlocking Rubber Gym Tiles by Ultimate RB Rubber make an exceptional choice.

What size are the Mega-Lock Rubber Tiles?
Mega-Lock gym flooring tiles are manufactured with premium SBR granular black recycled rubber granules bonded with a polymer binding agent. The mat material is sonic cut into 2.5’ x 2.5’ tiles (30” x 30”) with interlocking tabs, measured from the center of a tab to the inside edge on the opposite side of the tile. Since the Mega-Lock rubber tiles are larger than standard recycled rubber flooring gym tiles typically 2’ x 2’ in dimension, you’ll utilize less tiles for the same amount of coverage therefor giving you fewer seams.

The tiles are available in two thicknesses, 1/2” and 3/4”. The 1/2” tiles are utilized in home gyms, health club dumbbell areas on top of existing rubber flooring, military bases, and ice rinks. The 3/4” recycled rubber tiles are a great choice where greater impact absorption or sound dampening is required such as when utilized for Olympic weightlifting exercises and deadlifts at CrossFit boxes, athletic performance training facilities, college and university weight rooms, high school gyms, and as interlocking horse stall mats.

Why are the Mega-Lock interlocking tabs larger than other rubber flooring tiles?
The tabs on the Mega-Lock rubber fitness tiles measure a colossal 9” wide and 4” deep. When the sizeable tabs are connected, they can withstand the harshest of horizontal and lateral forces and prevent disconnecting and movement of the rubber flooring. Whether you are performing plyometric exercises, sprinting drills, moving an upright exercise bike or heavy-duty treadmill across the flooring surface, or have horses and are utilizing the tiles as equine flooring, these tiles stay connected.

How do you install RB Rubber Mega-Lock tiles?
Interlocking rubber tiles are a highly recommended rubber flooring solution because of their convenience. The performance of the Mega-Lock tiles connected resemble that of a solid rubber surface. With 1/2” rubber flooring weighing close to 3 lbs. per square foot and 3/4” recycled rubber flooring weighing close to 4 lbs. per square foot, moving tiles that weigh 18.75 lbs. and 25 lbs. respectively becomes an easier task. No need to utilize messy adhesives or lay down seaming tape as the tiles are designed to interlock together and as a loose-lay product.

Are Mega-Lock tiles available in colors?
Yes, Mega-Lock tiles are available for manufacturing in several 10% EPDM color fleck options known as Fleck-Lock tiles. EPDM color rubber is mixed with the SBR black granules to provide flooring that offers great aesthetics and heavy-duty performance with these tiles.

Whether you’re a residential customer in need of rubber flooring for a garage gym, commercial fitness facility, or educational institution, the Ultimate RB Rubber Mega-Lock Interlocking Rubber tiles are a high performing athletic flooring system to consider.
