Erica Lugo started her fitness story when her son asked her to play with him on the floor and she said 'no' because she was too tired and exhausted. There was that moment of realization that she needed to get her priorities straight and implement a real-life change. Erica was 26 years old when she stepped on the scale and saw that she was over 322 lbs. It shook her world to see the number on the scale staring back at her, she could not believe it. Erica recognized the need to become a happier, healthier and active mom for Conner and for herself as well. Erica started with smaller goals she could achieve without overwhelming and breaking her confidence. No matter what, Erica focused and stayed determined to change her mindset and her physical health. She started with small wins and that just built up more confidence and she started feeling proud for showing up after each workout dropping over 150 lbs in 15 months. Not only has she changed her life but her son, Conner, has benefited from having a happier and healthier mom that can now play with him.
Erica enjoyed HIIT workouts and lifting weights and the results are incredible. Her passion started to take shape as she was not just transforming her life with fitness but her body as well. With this new passion for fitness, she wanted to help others find their passion and change their lives with a healthier and balanced lifestyle to overcome depression and obesity.
Erica has credited her fitness and positive mental attitude in her successful battle against thyroid cancer. She truly believes if she was not in the best shape of her life that she would not have been able to fight and overcome cancer the way she has.
Erica's passion for health and fitness has opened up doors for her that would have never been there if she did not make that initial fundamental mindset shift. She now owns her own studio, Fit Love Studio, which provides personal training services. You can also find Erica inspiring millions of people over social media and on The Biggest Loser (USA Network) as one of the trainers helping others fight obesity and finding a healthier and happier version of themselves. Erica also graces the covers of many publications such as Women's Health Magazine.
