Proformance Plus PPS-237 Multi-Hip Flexor - The Proformance Plus Multi-Hip Flexor by TuffStuff is a multi-functional piece of equipment you can use to perform a variety of exercises for the hips and glutes. Tiger Woods may have put the term gluteal amnesia on the map when lower back problems forced him to focus on glute activation, but improving the function of the muscles we spend most of our time sitting on is a worthwhile endeavor for most that can improve both our appearance and mobility. This machine is particularly useful for toning and strengthening the glutes and hips when used in conjunction with a prime mover like squats or straight-legged deadlifts. Placing the back of the thigh against the roller pad and pushing upwards against the resistance works the hip extensor muscles (gluteus maximus and hamstrings); placing the front of the thigh against the roller works the hip flexor muscles (iliopsoas and rectus femoris); placing the inside of the thigh against the roller works the hip adductor muscles; and placing the outside of the thigh against the roller works the hip abductor muscles.

The Proformance Plus Multi-Hip Flexor offers two height adjustments. The polished aluminum footplate includes a gas-assisted elevation adjustment, and the roller pad includes a pop pin adjustment. Additionally, the counter-balanced pivot arm adjusts with a pop pin for multiple start positions to address the mobility needs of any user. Dual handrails provide balance and support as you perform the various exercises while standing on one foot.
