Stamina Vulcanized Interlocking Flooring Tiles | NWR (STAMINA) - Elevate your fitness space with IRON COMPANY's premium Vulcanized Interlocking Rubber Tiles, a hallmark of quality and durability in gym flooring. Sourced from North West Rubber, these tiles exemplify top-tier construction, offering unparalleled strength and longevity. Our 2' x 2' Stamina Vulcanized Interlocking Flooring Tiles, available in various thicknesses and colors, are an eco-friendly choice made from recycled crumb rubber, derived from used car and truck tires. This green initiative significantly reduces landfill waste, making our tiles an environmentally responsible option for your gym.

Each tile, meticulously crafted from a blend of recycled crumb rubber and virgin rubber, undergoes a rigorous vulcanization process. This enhances their tensile strength and tear resistance, ensuring they can withstand the intense demands of any fitness setting, from residential garage gyms to commercial fitness clubs and even military fitness facilities. The non-porous surface of these tiles repels liquids, minimizing bacterial growth and odors, thereby simplifying maintenance and ensuring a hygienic environment. Available in all-black or with optional color fleck, our tiles offer a sleek and professional look while providing excellent traction, even when wet.

Our Stamina Vulcanized Interlocking Flooring Tiles not only deliver on aesthetics but also boast impressive technical specifications. With a Shore A Hardness of 75 +/- 5, a wear layer thickness passing ASTM F410 standards, and superior resistance to chemicals, heat, and abrasion, these tiles are engineered for longevity. They also contribute to LEED points, have anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties, and come in dimensions of 22.2" x 22.2", with varying weights based on thickness.

By choosing our Vulcanized Interlocking Rubber Mats, you're opting for a product that's at the forefront of gym flooring technology. These tiles are available through our experienced sales representatives or online, including on our GSA contract 47QSMA22D08NN. Ideal for a range of applications, from Interlocking Floor Tiles to Modular Flooring, our Interlocking Gym Tiles are designed to protect floors and equipment from damage while offering a safe, durable surface for all types of physical activities. Trust IRON COMPANY for your flooring needs, where quality meets innovation in every tile.

What Is Vulcanization?

Vulcanization is the technical term used to describe the process of converting raw rubber into a more durable cured material, by forming cross-links (bridges) between individual polymer chains under high heat and pressure.

How Do We Make Our Vulcanized Flooring?

End-of-life tires are ground down to fine particles for recycling. The resulting tire crumb rubber is placed in molds within large presses, and then vulcanized using high heat and pressure. Once the heating cycle is completed, the recycled rubber material is cooled and then cut to the finished shape and size.

Why Do We Vulcanize?

  • While the same type of recycled crumb rubber is used in both vulcanized and polyurethane-bound rubber products, vulcanized rubber is more durable and denser than polyurethane rubber because of the strong bond between the fine crumb rubber particles used in our high heat and pressure manufacturing process.
  • Vulcanized rubber flooring is non-porous and does not absorb moisture from melting ice or drinking bottles, cleaning liquids, perspiration, etc. Independent testing has shown that vulcanized rubber flooring is up to 20 times less absorbent than polyurethane rubber flooring, so liquids remain on the surface for easy removal and maintenance regimes.
  • The non-porous nature of vulcanized rubber also keeps the surface cleaner and is much more effective in reducing bacteria growth and infections such as MRSA.
  • Third party testing shows that NWR vulcanized rubber flooring eliminates 99.5% of all microbial build-up with a simple cleaning regimen.

These maintenance guidelines are applicable for both adhered and interlock installation methods.
