Proformance Plus PPMS-250 Adjustable Cable Crossover - The Proformance Plus Adjustable Cable Crossover by TuffStuff is an incredibly versatile resistance training unit with two independent 15-position pulley columns that allow for unilateral and bilateral exercises. It also includes a multi-grip pull-up station with wide, narrow, reverse, and neutral grip chinning handles for even more functionality. Probably the first lift people think of when the cable crossover unit is mentioned is the one for which it is named. To be sure, cable crossovers are an excellent pectoral exercise that provide an excellent pump and can help you gain muscle separation and striations. Incline flyes, done by sliding an adjustable bench into the open frame and setting the pulleys in the low position, are an excellent complement to crossovers for a great chest training one-two punch.

While cable crossovers and cable flyes are great bilateral exercises, many excellent unilateral exercises can be done on the Proformance Plus Adjustable Cable Crossover machine utilizing only one pulley column, especially for arm training. For the triceps, pushdowns, overhead extensions, and kickbacks are staple exercises requiring only a quick pop pin adjustment of the pulley column. The biceps can be trained with a wide variety of single and double arm curl variations using different bar attachments, including a straight bar, an EZ curl bar, a single pulley handle, and others. Cable work is also one of the best ways to target the small muscles of the rotator cuff with internal and external rotation exercises for prehabilitation (injury avoidance) and for post-injury rehabilitation. Though not a primary apparatus for leg training, you can even use this incredibly versatile machine to tone the hamstrings, glutes and hips by incorporating an ankle strap for leg curls, glute kickbacks, abduction, and adduction.
