Elite Olympic Power Training Bar | York (32004)

The York Barbell 32004 Elite Olympic Power Training Bar is a 20 kg, 29 mm power bar made from heat-treated North American steel with a minimum tensile strength of 185,000 PSI. Its rigid, low-flex shaft, aggressive diamond knurling, center knurling, and bushing-equipped sleeves are intended for slower powerlifting movements such as squats, bench presses, and deadlifts rather than Olympic weightlifting.

Knurling for Powerlifting

Aggressive diamond knurling extends across the gripping areas, with center knurling providing additional contact across the upper back during squats. Double knurl markings provide reference points for hand placement during different lifts.

Bushing-Equipped Chrome Sleeves

Bushings give the chrome sleeves a steady, controlled rotation rather than the faster sleeve action associated with bearing-equipped Olympic weightlifting bars. Each sleeve measures 16" long and is machined to a 1.975" diameter.

Olympic Weight Plate Fit

The sleeves accept weight plates with a 2" diameter center hole. The distance between the sleeve collars is 51.5", so confirm that dimension against your rack, power cage, or bench setup if equipment fit is a concern.

Power Bar or Olympic Weightlifting Bar?

The 32004 is intended for slower strength movements rather than the quick, explosive lifts associated with Olympic weightlifting. Its more rigid shaft, aggressive center knurling, and bushing-controlled sleeve rotation make squats, bench presses, and deadlifts its primary applications.

Bar Care

Store the bar in a dry location away from moisture to help prevent rust and maintain smooth sleeve rotation.
