Each York-ISO Grip plate includes a thick layer of rubber that is molded to the steel composite core. Weightlifting plates coated in rubber will help barbells absorb shock and impact if dropped. This is also helpful at preventing damage to your gym floors and surrounding fitness equipment.

York Barbell ISO-Grip Rubber Weighted Plates provide all the impact benefits of rubber plus a lot more. Their multi-grip plates provide three spacious gripping openings that allow plenty of room to safely and securely grip each plate. These slots make loading, offloading and transporting plates to a different machine across the gym much easier with less risk of slipping out of your hands. The ISO-Grips patented oversized hub utilizes a center opening that is thicker than the outside of the plate. This thicker hub and thinner outside rim allow the hands to easily fit under and pick up the elevated perimeter/rim when plates are lying flat on the floor. This allows the user easy 360 degree pick up and also prevents smashed fingers while loading plates onto a bar or machine.
