Proformance Plus PPL-940 Incline Lever Row - The Proformance Plus Incline Lever Row by TuffStuff is an indispensable training tool you can use to attack your lats and mid-back. Bentover barbell rows and T-bar rows are two excellent mid-back developers that share the same flaw: the lumbar spine fatigues quickly from holding a static contraction, limiting both the amount of weight you can use and the number of reps you can perform. This lower back fatigue is exacerbated if you happen to perform rows on the same day as deadlifts, a typical training set-up for those who like to include a back day in their weekly routine. With the lower back already fatigued from deadlifting, training poundages must be reduced drastically for any type of free-standing rowing movement - a less than ideal concession.

Enter the chest support pad. Chest-supported rows allow you to train the lats and mid-back without fear of injuring your lower back, whether it happens to be pre-fatigued from other back training or not. While many chest-supported rowing apparatuses offer a cumbersome fixed handle that does not move nearly as naturally as a barbell, the unique pivoting handle design of the Proformance Plus Incline Lever Row maintains correct wrist and arm positioning throughout the entire range of motion. Bi-level foot supports accommodate lifters of different heights and stance width preferences. Dual height bar rests offer trainees the ability to begin the lift from either of the two heights and, if necessary, to use the lower of the two rests to safely replace the handle short of full contraction in the event of a missed rep. The 14.5 weight horn allows the strongest of lifters to load up to seven 45-pound plates.
