Proformance Plus PPL-905 Seated Chest Press - The Proformance Plus Plate Loaded Converging Chest Press by TuffStuff Fitness allows you to train your chest with all the benefits of free weights but without the need for a spotter. If youve ever tried to complete a flat bench press or incline bench press workout without a spotter - something we dont advise under any circumstances - you know too well the limitations of training alone. In order to gain leverage to unrack the weight, most trainees have to scoot much closer to the support arms than if a spotter were present. They then have to alter their pressing angle to a much more vertical bar path than normal in order to avoid hitting the bench press uprights on the way up. Gone is the natural S curve that most find to be a more natural pressing path. Perhaps the biggest disadvantage to benching alone, however, is that weights have to be drastically reduced and sets terminated much earlier for safety, rendering the training far less effective. Even then, a pulled muscle could spell disaster.

Enter The Proformance Plus Converging Chest Press, a superb machine that allows you to push each set to the limits of your ability without a spotter and without fear of being pinned under a heavy weight. Additionally, the converging press arms mimic natural articulation of shoulder girdle and allow unilateral and bilateral movement, offering muscular activation that is comparable to free weights. The U-Grip handle design swivels so you can maintain neutral wrist position throughout full range of motion, and the adjustable seat height allows even more customization. Position the seat low with the quick and easy pop pin for a higher pressing angle in order to target the upper pecs and anterior deltoids. Position the seat high for a lower pressing angle that places more emphasis on the lower pecs and triceps.
