Schiek knee bands, unlike patella knee sleeves, are constructed from a full sleeve of 1/4" thick heavy-duty neoprene and do not have any perforations or openings that expose the skin underneath. The Schiek 1140KS is used to help prevent injury during weightlifting or sports and are especially beneficial to those recovering from knee ailments such as tendonitis.
