TKO SDS Tri-Grip Commercial Gym Dumbbells - TKO 814TXR SDS rubber hex dumbbell handles are unique and have been engineered for performance and comfort. Most rubber hex dumbbells feature a chrome handle that is either round or contoured in shape. While these handles are comfortable and serve their purpose, the patented Tri-Grip handle by TKO is the most advanced anatomically correct gripping system ever. This tri-cornered handle was designed to mimic the bones of the hand allowing for a natural grip no matter what size your hands are. This fully knurled triangular shape gives users greater control of the dumbbell while exercising and helps eliminate pain and fatigue in the hands that can accompany some dumbbell exercises.
TKO has also improved upon rubber hex dumbbell construction. Their patented Secure Dumbbell System, or "SDS" design, combines a squared handle shaft that is hydraulically press fit into a solid cast iron head with steel inserts. Both are then permanently pinned together so that they can never spin or come apart. This heavy-duty construction makes them totally maintenance free and commercially rated.
