Body-Solid Tools BSTOPW Deadlift Wedge – The Body-Solid BSTOPW Deadlift Wedge is small, portable powerlifting tool used as an Olympic plate wedge to assist with easier plate loading and unloading during deadlift training and other floor-starting weightlifting movements. Constructed from heavy-duty silicone resin with a non-slip surface, the Deadlift Wedge can handle nearly any weight load for the heaviest of training sessions. To use the BSTOPW Deadlift Wedge, start by putting a pair of "base" plates onto your Olympic bar or Olympic hex trap bar. Next, simply roll the moderately loaded bar forward and up the ramp of the wedge, letting the bumper plate or weightlifting plate cradle inside the curvature of the wedge. Once positioned inside the wedge, both bar and weight plates are elevated 1/2" above the floor. Slide additional weight plates onto the bar next to the base plates already cradled within the wedge. Since the wedged design of the BSTOPW prevents rolling and rocking, It will now be easier than ever to load any amount of additional weights quickly and safely during training. The BSTOPW can be used by itself one side at a time, and fits nicely into any gym bag as a portable lifting tool. Or, utilize two Deadlift Wedges to elevate the entire bar at once. Some may choose to mount two Deadlift Wedges to a power platform using the provided anchor holes, so that wedges are permanently positioned at proper width and are always available in close proximity for stress-free plate loading assistance.
