Apollo Athletics Partner Glute Ham Developer - The Partner Glute Ham Developer (GHD) provides focused training on the posterior chain muscle groups, which includes hamstrings, glutes, lower back, and abdominals. Utilizing a training partner or coach to hold down the legs, the user then performs lower back hyperextensions and glute ham raises (GHR). The Partner Glute Ham exerciser trains your hamstrings at both the knee and hip joints. When you run, jump, deadlift, lunge, or squat your hamstrings are at work at both joints. This closed posterior chain exercise mimics sports movement far better than an open chain exercise such as leg curl to improve running speed, acceleration, power, and jumping ability while reducing chance of injury.
